Temple trip: The Temple

The main purpose of our visit to Joburg was to visit the temple. Between all of our family we managed to do a lot of work for our deceased ancestors, as well as a lot of work for people we don't know. It was very special to be involved once again in these essential ordinances.

By far the most special day was when we did some sealings. We were involved in the sealing of spouses, as well as children to parents. And as I sat there in the sealing room I was struck by how amazing it is that we can do these ordinances that allow these families to become eternal families. It was very special, and we came away from the trip feeling spiritually refreshed, and ready to face the world again. My grandpa used to say that this spiritual refueling is essential to surviving in life, and I have to agree... I am very grateful that we have a temple of our God here in our country, and that it is relatively easy for us to visit the temple and do this work as often as we do.
