Joshua moments - June 2009

Joshua is just getting so big and more and more beautiful and lovable every passing day! Here are some of the special moments from June...

We had to buy a gate to keep Joshua out of the kitchen. His immediate response was to try and climb up it...

The feeling of a cushion on his head really seemed to fascinate him! He sat with his back completely straight and balanced the cushion...

One of Joshua's new things in the bath is using a cup, putting it upside down in the water, and then flicking it up, which gets water to flick up. That and holding a wet sponge to drip water on him, or out onto the floor... He just likes the water everywhere!

Peek-a-boo - still one of his favourite games... He'll just duck behind something, and then pop out...

One of his current fascinations is shoes - he likes to try and get my shoes on his feet... But it'll be a long time before he can try to walk in my shoes...
I've started trying to take Joshua to the library regularly...

Cellphones... Good idea or not... I love the convenience, and Joshua already knows what they're supposed to be used for. This was without us ever specifically showing him how to hold the phone...

I just had to take this photo - this is what the lounge looks like AFTER Joshua's invaded. It looks very different before - I promise!

Joshua has also discovered that he likes drawing - and that means on all sorts of things, of course. But we are trying to show him what he can draw on, and what he can't...

Only 15 months, and he already feels trapped by his parents!

Another thing he likes to do is take a cushion off the couch, put it on the floor and then lie his head down on it. Here he just used the blanket that was already on the floor for his convenience. And these feet that so often want to be up in the air!

We bought him a dressing gown - especially in preparation for going to Gauteng, with their cold winter nights. Isn't he too cute?

And then Father's Day... Joshua had way more fun than Daddy opening the presents!

Our happy boy!

I now know the meaning of cuteness. For what it's worth, I gave you an award, hop over sometime to see.
