Beauty and the Beast

We went to watch Beauty and the Beast at the Artscape on Tuesday, as I mentioned before... It was AMAZING!!!

We bought a program, and for once the program was really nice and had some nice photos that you can really remember the show by (I also got some photos from the
official site)

The opening song... (which is one of the ones that I've had in my head for the whole week...)

Gaston and Lefou were really well cast. Gaston is actually a really comic character, and this guy did it beautifully. He's such a jerk! But you can't help loving him and laughing at everything he does. And Lefou... This guy is a real acrobat! He was being thrown all over the stage (by Gaston, the villagers, and sometimes he'd just go himself) and he could just move so well!

The villagers, including those silly three girls - who really are very silly!

The song "Gaston" was really good! Gaston has a great voice, and then they had this really cool sequence where they stand in a line and do all sorts of things with hitting their beer mugs against the people around them... And I really am not describing it well, but it was really effective and very cool!

"Be our Guest". There were real fireworks and everything! Quite a spectacle!

Beauty and the Beast...

Their waltz together...

The show was going to end in a weeks time, but I heard during the week that it's now been extended to 21 March. I would really recommend it! We got the cheapest tickets, at the cheapest show, but I would have been willing to pay more for this experience. Really amazing!
