Christmas Day - the home stretch

Both my parents and Andrew's parents had all of their children and children-in-law and all their grandchildren at their Christmas dinners, which is really amazing. We are lucky to be part of two families that are still all within the same country, and can get together for occassions like this.

Joshua became the Christmas elf in the Powrie house when we got back to my parents for our Christmas supper. That is absolutely the most gorgeous face!
And our little elf got the place at the head of the table ;o) His rightful place? ;o) He is after all the centre of everyone's lives!
We had the traditional roast turkey with my family, and had a significantly smaller group, despite a few extra's to the immediate family - we could still all fit around one table.

And after all of that food it was definitely time to got home and sleep! So we went home and had a nice bit of relaxing time with just our little family to finish off a wonderful, but very busy day.

Oh, and just to mention our Christmas Eve tradition. Since we got married we have every year had pizza, hired a couple really nice movies, and enjoyed that relaxing time. But we also make a point of reading the Christmas story from the New Testament. Christmas Day is so busy, that if we didn't take this time, I think we wouldn't have a chance to remember the meaning of Christmas - and it seems more especially now that we have a young family.

But we hope that you all had a Blessed Christmas, filled with the Spirit of Christ!
