Joshua moments - October 2013

We've been reading the Faraway Tree to Josh and Hannah in the evenings, which Josh especially just loves! One evening Josh told me, while they were doing their teeth, "I know what the next part is. Moon Face gets into a fix." I had read the next chapter heading to him the previous evening, and he remembered it exactly, even though its not language that we would typically use. He really is loving this book! He almost always also wants me to read a second chapter.

And his powers of reasoning really impress me! This kind of thing happens often, where he can predict what is going to be happening next. One example was the children had gone to the Land of Dreams, and after the Sandman puts them to sleep they wake up and strange things start happening. So I asked Josh what he thought was happening, and he had figured out that they were in a dream! And he does that kind of thing over and over!

When we were driving home from school and about to turn into Boom street Josh told me we needed to turn right and then he also told me, as I was turning right, what all of our other turns would be. And except for the very last one he was completely right! He must have developed a bit of a map in his mind!

Josh told us that Aunty Veronica comes on Mondays and Thursdays. He is so aware of everything around him.

A big event for Joshua - his first tooth fell out!
Drawing a picture of the Tooth Mouse so that he would know to come instead of the Tooth Fairy.
Such a cute boy!
Josh had Luke over to play, and the highlight was playing the Lightning McQueen game on the Play Station at the end!
A petrol station
A "Dinosaur Drip"
Josh made his own dot-to-dot dinosaur and then joined the lines
 A whale
A peacock
A seal
A pirate ship, complete with steering wheel, eye patch, cannon ball and anchor!
A submarine, including lights that shine downwards so that you can see the bottom of the sea
A dragon
Ben 10
A crocodile

A guitar
A bow
Spongebob on our TV, which looks exactly like our TV and TV stand!
The were doing the letter "c" at school so he was drawing all sorts of things that start with "c" like cat, camel, cheese, car, carrot, cow...
Josh needed to dress up for school, and he wanted to be a dinosaur, so I made this mask for him.
Video: waking up after the Tooth Mouse visited, and swimming lessons.
