Andrew took the day off, so we got to have a lazy morning opening presents etc.
Then after Joshua went to Aunty Wendy we did a few errands and then went for this all-you-can-eat buffet lunch. Wow! We finished there by 13:30, and we were both so full that we didn't eat again until about 21:00!
We fetched Josh and then we went to a park to play. Good thing to do on your 40th birthday! I'll have to make sure we do the same on mine. Of course then Andrew will be 13 years older than he is now... Hmmm... But we had good fun.
And then on Saturday we had a braai (which was originally supposed to be a surprise, but didn't work out that way in the end) for our two families. It was the first time that we've ever had so many of our two families all together, so it was really great. And I just have to say how clever Joshua is... When he saw the badge Andrew was wearing he said "Number 4"! I was so proud! I think it was more fluke though, in reality, but I still felt proud ;o)
So it's all official now. I've only had 7 of the first 40 years of Andrew's life, but we get to experience the next 40 together!
