Just a few random things...
Last night, at 8 weeks, Hannah went for 8 hours between feeds for the first time! I fed her at 20:30 and then only at 4:30 again. Now we've just got to get those 8 hours completely during my sleeping time!
It is FREEZING in Cape Town at the moment! There's been snow on the mountains, and it is just icy cold. So I know that for most people it's normal in winter, but we've had ice on our car windows the last two mornings! I think I do prefer the rain, instead of this icy weather...
My sister, Colleen, and her husband have bought a house! They got the news today that their bond has been approved, so in about 7 weeks they'll be moving to our area, probably a 3 minute drive from us. It's going to be so nice having them close by!
And I'm finally getting my energy back! I started driving properly again only last week, and I'm still picking Joshua up sparingly, but I finally feel like there's light at the end of the tunnel. I eventually asked Andrew to give me a blessing last Sunday (7 weeks after my caesar) because I was still having pain whenever I did anything even remotely normal. And I immediately stopped having pain! Why didn't I ask earlier... It's been great to be independent again, and being able to drive myself around. And this evening I realised that a few times during the day as I was moving through the house I was running with a literal bounce in my step! To have energy again!!! Ah, it's wonderful. I actually can't remember when last I bounced around like this - certainly not in nearly a year! Can't wait to get back to gym!
