We've had two new arrivals into our home this week.
The first is a new fridge. At the beginning of the year our fridge started giving problems, and then the thermostat went last week. So the freezer still works, and the fridge cools, but doesn't get cold. So we looked around for a nice fridge on special, and Saturday went to Makro, walked out 10 minutes later, and on Monday it was in our kitchen. You can do things so quickly if you want to!
But the nice thing then was that we were able to pass on our old fridge to our maid, who doesn't have any fridge, so even a freezer and cooling fridge is better than nothing, and the repair cost will be a lot less than a new fridge. We were given our old fridge before we got married, so it was nice to be able to pass it onto someone else who can appreciate it now. And I really like our new one ;o)
The other new thing was that we had BYU TV installed. It's a free satelite channel (you only pay for the installation once off), which isn't run by our church, but rather by Brigham Young University, which is a Church university. So it does have some church programs on, but also lots of other things. But the great thing is that you know it will always be clean. And we can watch General Conference at home now!
And the nice thing about this was that we bought the dish and decoder second hand, so at a discount, and the family we bought it from couldn't install it where they're living now, and also appreciated the money at this point.
So two exciting new things for us, but also we were able to be a blessing in the lives of two families at the same time! It's great how things work out!
