The Theatre

I absolutely LOVE the theatre! Andrew and I have been lucky to be able to got and see a lot of different shows in the time we've been together.

Some of the highlights are:

• Phantom of the Opera (WOW!)
• Swanlake
• My Fair Lady
• Kat and the Kings
• Showboat
• Mama Mia!
• A Handful of Keys (an amazing musical extravaganza - I'd recommend it to anyone!)
• Twelth Night (at Maynardville)

I think that's all of them... I always make a point of buying a program, and I just located them all (I couldn't remember where I had put them when we moved)

Just before Christmas I found a little present on our tree, and when I opened it, there were tickets to go see the Nutcracker (Andrew has this romantic streak in him ;o)

A beautiful ballet! And the Cape Town Ballet really do a fantastic job.

And then today on my way to work I was driving past the Artscape, and they have huge signs on the outside with the upcoming shows, and I saw:
And so when I got home I managed to convince Andrew that we really need to go... So we're going to watch Beauty and the Beast next month! I'm so excited!

I love the opportunity to go, and I'm also really glad that my husband enjoys the theatre as well, so that I never feel that I'm going to make him do anything that he'll have to endure ;o)
