He's really into his fantasy play
- There's a story where Emily takes Thomas' coaches accidentally, and Josh loves to over and over again act out Emily taking the coaches from Thomas with his two trains that he has at home.
- He really loves Toy Story, and in addition to pretending to be Buzz, he'll say things like "Come in, Star Camma"
He's picked up from some of the boys at school "Good jar!" And you can try and tell him as much as you like that it's "Good job", but he won't believe you!
He sometimes has this weird way of standing. He'll stand leaning forward slightly and let his arms dangle, and then sway slightly. I don't know where he picked that up from, but it was only a short time he did that...
As cute as he is, he's still a 3-year old, and he's started really pushing boundaries! I can't wait for this stage to be over!
I took Josh and Hannah for their annual checkup with the paediatrician. 12 days later Joshua spontaneously told me that he was Dr Grindlay (he even remembered the name right!) and he pretended to be checking our temperatures with the thermometer!
He likes to be able to put a blanket down flat. So he'll take the one side and he'll wave the blanket up and down, and up and down, trying to get the blanket flat... Sometimes I get quite frustrated, because he's got it as flat as he's going to get it, and he just keeps on doing it again and again... But it's all part of becoming independent, isn't it...?
We'll often read a story to him while he's on the toilet, partly to help him stay sitting and relax. One day Andrew was on the toilet, and Josh decided that he wanted to read to Daddy. Andrew suggested a few stories that Josh could tell him, but for each of them Josh responded that, no, they were at the library (not really...). Then Andrew suggested the 3 Little Pigs. Josh immediately started with "Once upon a time" and went on to give all the basic features of the story!
At night time when Andrew reads a bedtime story to Josh he sometimes struggles to stay awake properly, and he'll make up nonsense as he's reading. Joshua knows exactly what it's supposed to be though, and he'll correct Andrew and make sure he gets the story right!
Reading stories with Daddy
We were asked to make bunny ears for school at Easter time, and Joshua found them again and wanted to show them off
Writing like a big boy ;o)
Eating a clown
I still love seeing him sleeping!
